FAQs for ACMI’s Digital Cinema 3

I booked tickets - how do I access the film?

Once you book through the ACMI website, all you need to do is log into your Cinema 3 account and the film will be accessible in your Library. You will be able to watch the film from its screening time, but once you hit play you have 48 hours to complete viewing before your rental expires.

The films aren’t available to watch in my Cinema 3 library yet.

MLK/FBI will be available to watch from 6:30pm on Saturday 24 April until May 1.

Ophir will be available to watch from 6:15pm on Tuesday, 27 April until May 4.

Remember, once you start watching you have 48 hours to complete viewing before your rental expires.

Do the films have subtitles/closed captions?

MLK/FBI has optional English subtitles that can be turned on if required. The Bonus Content does not have subtitles.

Ophir has English subtitles as part of the film. Ophir Bonus Content has optional English subtitles that can be turned on.

I need to start the film late - what do I do?

All films will be available to watch for 48 hours once you hit play via your Cinema 3 Library, so no worries if you’re a little late.

I can’t make the screening but I want to watch the film, how long are the films online for?

MLK/FBI will be available to watch until 6:30pm on 1 May 2021.

Ophir will be available to watch until 6:15pm on 4 May 2021.

We encourage you to watch the special pre-show performance first, and then the film.

Can I watch the films from another country?

Unfortunately, due to film licencing restrictions, we are only able to screen the films to viewers in Australia. However, we thank you for your interest!

In your Cinema 3 account, go to the tab called ‘Help & FAQs’ and the ACMI team will be able to support you with any further queries.
