Key Three: Human Rights Law Centre

HRAFF exists to create an ecosystem of individuals and organisations who champion creativity and human rights. As part of this mission, we are proud to partner with various community organisations who are already leading the way in this regard, to offer three practical steps that our audience can take to join the movement for social change.

We all have the capacity to demand better treatment for all, and the responsibility to defend the human rights of those whose voices aren't being heard. As part of HRAFF 2021, our community partner The Human Rights Law Centre have shared three key actions you can take to support the fight for a more just and equal world.

The Human Rights Law Centre is an independent, non-for-profit, non-government organisation that uses strategic legal action, policy solutions and advocacy to support people and communities to eliminate inequality and injustice and build a fairer, more compassionate Australia. The HRLC works in coalition with key partners, including community organisations, law firms and barristers, academics and experts, and international and domestic human rights organisations. The HRLC works across several different areas including democratic freedoms, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples’ rights, rights of people seeking asylum and business and human rights.
