Synopsis
The Unwinking Gaze is an intimate and captivating portrait of the Dalai Lama's lifelong work for Tibet. Filmed over three years with extraordinary access to the Tibetan leader, Dugdale reveals the Dalai Lama's daily struggle as he tries to lead his people to a peaceful resolution with China. With exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the Dalai Lama, and special interviews with George W. Bush and Alanis Morrisette, The Unwinking Gaze is an intriguing insight into one of the most inspirational political and spiritual leaders of our time.
"It could force China into a more civil, humanitarian stance toward Tibet. True believers in the power of cinema should keep an eye on this one. How wonderful to think that a mere movie could once again help make a difference." —Paul Tatara (The Guardian)
"This will probably be the most influential and inspiring film you will see all year" —Laura Taylor, Real.com
