Synopsis

A story about the transformative power of compassion and the difference one woman can make.

In the rubble of a nation plagued by HIV/AIDS and apartheid's legacy of violence and distrust, Marion Cloete courageously walked away from a life of privilege in Johannesburg to set up an orphanage for the most downtrodden and tragic of South Africa. A university-trained therapist, Cloete's village provides food, shelter, education and new hope to more than 550 children orphaned by AIDS. Simultaneously heartbreaking and uplifting, Angels in the Dust is a truly inspirational film.

"It thoughtfully illuminates a seemingly unsolvable problem while proving that one person really can make a difference." —Seattle Times

"Angels In the Dust is an important, enormously emotional film that will hopefully have a far-reaching and valuable impact on the plight of Sub-Saharan AIDS." —Reel.com

"...Nothing short of wondrous" —NY Magazine
